Design your own workout screen
• Tailor the screen to suit your training session. Get the info you need in a heartbeat. Easily activate or stop metrics on your training screen.

Watch your session progress
• Hit start and follow the progress bar or monitor your speed, distance, time, power (perceived or actual), heart rate and calories.
• Train towards suggested gear and pre (perceived rate of exertion) intensities.
• Measure and monitor your cadence with the help of our pulsing cadence indicator.

Test and monitor yourself
• Built-in fitness/zone test and zone calculator ensure you achieve your correct training zones

Your Sessions

  • Coached MP3 or Read and Ride sessions, periodized in a way to improve your fitness while teaching you the correct way to train.
  • Custom session: This is where you or your coach can build and develop your personal session library. You can add your own playlist.
  • Simulation sessions: Ride any Strava segment in our RIDE THE WORLD. (Real time gradient simulation only on smart trainers).
  • Erg Mode: train specifically to the wattage / power setting and time you set. (real time power simulation only on smart trainers).
  • Resistance mode: Train to set resistance and time (real time resistance simulation only on smart trainers).

Testing and Monitoring

  • Fitness test: Use our built in 20 min FTP test. This will give you all the data you need to train smart. Using Power, (perceived or actual) and Heart rate to determine your correct training zones.
  • Zone Calculator: Enter your personal ride data or once you have done the FTP test, let the App calculate your training zones. Updated manually or by our FTP update feature.
  • Recovery test: The JETBLACK CYCLING APP is built with coaching in mind. We have a recovery test built into the App enabling
    you to train smart from the start.
  • Zone updates:  FTP and Hear rate monitoring. The App will automatically update your training zones as you get fitter and stronger.
  • Health and Fitness: an ability to monitor your overall fitness and bodies reaction to overload.
  • Training calendar:  The App will track all of your training and store it in one place. Giving you ride and training data in an easy to follow format.

Virtual Training

  • SMART TRAINER options: We offer all the above with the added ability to connect with other 3rd party smart devices. Real-time adjustments In Simulation, ERG, and Resistance modes.
  • Simulation mode: Using Strava segments you can ride any course in the world. The App and trainer work together to adjust the gradient from that segment. The App will give you all the information you need to cover the course as efficiently as possible.
  • ERG mode: You set the Watts you want to train at and the interval time. By setting the rest Watts and rest time it takes away the doubts of any hard training session. Perfect training smart tool.
  • Resistance mode: As with the ERG mode, you set the resistance level and time. Also, the resting resistance and time will make any training session spot on.

Why do we train?

For most of us enjoyment and results, results being more enjoyment or event orientated. Everyone is not only built differently but have different lifestyles and levels of commitments, From the full-time professional athlete to a working parent of three. We all need to make the most of the hours presented.

This is why smart periodization in your training is essential if you want improvements and to hit target results.

Cycling is an endurance based sport which means time…but does not mean hour upon hours on the bike. Depending on your situation quality of training sometimes works over quantity and can provide better results. There is a trick to periodization, Train hard but make sure you train very easily as well. Forget about the in-between stuff and make sure you recover between session. Monitor effects of training on your body, simple monitoring will show you when you are ready to hit it again. Once you have successfully gathered information on the effects of training you will see what really works for you.

I would strongly advise you to employ a coach. Coaches are not just for the pro’s but for those who care about their results. Use them and learn from them.
